Here's a summary of my Back Seat Dlelet - Sub Woofer install.

One of the first things I wanted to do with my new Mustang was install a Sub Woofer. I am a golfer so trunk space is at a premium. As we all know the back seat of a Mustang is virtually useless unless your passengers are children, so I started looking to that space as a place to put the sub. I researched subs and cabinets and using Google Sketchup I designed a box for two 10" subs with 4" ports in two 1.5 cuft cabinets.

Here is the design as done in Google Sketchup

So here is the box made out of MDF and glued with No More Nails (Canada's Liquid Nails)with lots of screws.
The Port Tubes are 4" x 10" long and secured to a piece of MDF secured to the cabintet - no vibrations

Amp box and storage compartments for seating area. This was added to the design after the speaker box was made so I just put it together without shareable plans.

Covered. I made this because I needed a place for the amp that was protected and ventilated. There is still room to throw in a second set of clubs on top of this deck if needed.

You should hear it sing too! 500 watts. I am definately having a mid life crisis!

All up weight of the entire installation is 106 pounds minus the 40 pounds from the back seat is a net + 66 lbs.

Materials Used

15 ft of Trunk liner material
8ft 1/2 " cotton
2 cans of 3M 90 spray glue
4" x 20" PVC tube
1 tube Liquid (No More) Nails & Lots of 1.5" screws

I was hoping someone else would be inspired to do it. Everyone here who has seen and heard it has been gobsmacked.
