Hello,

I see the post about wheels, but I hesitate, I want to replace my originals wheels by Mach 1 wheels, I have 2 choices; machine finish like the originals or chrome finish, I never saw a Mustang whit chrome mach 1 wheels, what is the best choice ?

My ride :

album_pic.php

I just command the chin spoiler, also chrome wheels are 17x9 can I install 245/45/17 on this size of wheel ?

Thank's

Francis

Chrome finish with the DD in hte rear on some 315" tires would look badass! And yes you can fit 245's on a 9" rim...hell I had them on a 7" wide rim lol

Machined Finish

And I would not put a 245 on a 9" rim. It looks stupid, the sidewall stretches not to mention it's not the safest thing to do.

I like the machine finish. Chrome is to flashy for a mustang IMO.

Not the tire debate again, I've said it once and I will said it again

JUST BECAUSE THE TIRE FITS ON THE RIM, DOES NOT MEAN THE RIM FITS THE TIRE.

I second the motion of no chrome. In my opinion it is the most difficult wheel to take care of. Lots of polishing and free time spent on just the wheels. I also like the machined finish wheels, but my favorite is Hypercoated silver wheels. My current wheels are '03 cobras with 275/40-17 kumho escta supras, but my next wheels are going to be 18" saleen replicas in hypersilver. O0

What size do you suggest?

Hello,

I found all models wheels for Mustang Mach 1 :

17" black chrome et deep dish (255/40/17 front and 315/35/17 rear) :

17" machined and deep dish :

17" chrome and deep dish :

18" chrome Mach 1 replica :

I think for a simple GT the best choice is 17" machined non deep dish.

Thank's for your advice O0

On a 9" rim, a 275 is your best bet. And running 275's around is not a problem, I have no rubbing what so ever on my setup.

That's what I have all around. Mine doesn't rub either.

I disagree. Wheels make the car. I >was forced< at one point to put Mach wheels on my car. I didn't like the look of factory M1 wheels AT ALL! A deep dish wheel is a must with those style wheels for them to look right IMO. I think those black chrome one's would look pretty sweet or machine finished 18's. With those wheels though I wouldn't go with chrome.

I would definitely go with the black chrome ones. I don't think the mach machined finish looks that good.

Off topic a bit!! That's a sweet ride. I have a 95GT white looks exactly like yours with only 50000km on it. You saisd were you getting a chin spoiler, where do you get them and what do they look like on our cars?
