Best Tuner for the 97 4.6L SOHC

im planning on purchasing a tuner as my next mod along with some PI cams. i know nothing about the tuners so im wondering which one will give me the best results?

Do yourself a favor and go with the SCT XCal2 through Modular Depot or http://www.sctflash.com/

i looked on SCT's site and it says the XCal2 only works on 99+ vehicles? i see you have an SCT tune on yours... whats up with that? i went to brother's performance also and appearantly the DiabloSport doesnt make one for the 97 either. there was a Hypertech Power Programmer (only good 4 about 10-15 hp ? ) and a Venom Control Module (up to 25% increase in hp and tq). i dont think either will let me adjust for my gears/tires. a/f, etc..

what now?
