Still decideing on new rims, I've finaly made a decision on the Black FR500's over the Chrome Saleens but then came accross these rims that are being sold on eBay but by a company that is actually from around here so I can just go and pick them up. They are a set of Black Deep Dish MSR 088's. They're 19", yes 19inchs, but before you say anything, I have a picture of them on a stang and these 19" rims imo don't look too big and actually look nice. The deep dish is real deep and the finish looks real glossy which is a plus....
And the kicker is, they are lighter than the FR500's and weigh 208lbs with 245/35/19's all around while the FR500's weigh in at 236lbs with 265's up front and 285's in the rear. That's 28lbs of extra rotating mass that would be robbing my torque compared to the MSR's. My car is stock slow already to begin with NOT ONLY THAT, but the size of the 19's 245/35/19 will actually be more closer to the stock 17's diameter size
Stock.............245/45/17 = 25.7 inches diameter
MSR 19"..........245/35/19 = 25.8 inches diameter
FR500 18x9......265/35/18 = 25.4 inches diameter
FR500 18x10.....285/35/18 = 25.9 inches diameter
So I dunno. :dunno: What do you guys think judging based on looks, performance, and overall? Oh, and the MSR's are a perfect 19" size for my stang so it won't be an issue, 19x8.5 with 24mm offset. The reason i'm talking more about the MSR's is because some of you guys might have never heard of them and I know you already know all about the FR500's which are bada$$ aswell of course.
