Two free and easy mods:

1) Cobra light mod - allows the fog lights to operate separate from the headlights

2) Key/light chime delete - the chime was super annoying especially when your working on the car and the key is in the ignition

Did you switch to a A9L computer or do you still have the Tm40 computer ? Also what tuning software are you using Binary editor or something else? I am going to be putting 2 breathers on each valve cover soon because of blow bye and was wondering how the cars drive ability is?

It's a stock TM40 with an SCT Chip and custom dyno tuning. My tuner/builder, D'Sousa Performance in my area is known to be one of the best tuners in the biz. The tune is amazing and the car drives like a stocker until I lean into it. It purrs like a kitten, easily cruises at low speed/rpm no problem and is a monster when I need it to be.

Also i have a double din dash unit you can have? i have about 20 of them you pay for shipping and you can put a DVD player in your car if you want? Its black just like your interior.

Thanks for the offer, but I have a simple stereo/CD player setup that I'm good with. My music is the engine notes!

Speedo Corrected
Replaced parking brake rubber
Cut 3.5lbs from center console

I finally corrected my speedometer as it was +20km/h. The speedo and odometer are now bang on according to GPS.

I then pulled the center console and replaced the parking brake rubber. I installed a '98 style rubber which is slightly different the '95.

After:

While I had the center console out I ended up removing 3.5lbs from it. The bulk of the weight was from a steel supporting plate as seen in the pics.

Further items that I pulled = 3.5 lbs

For my reference - 3,396.5 lbs.

Rear interior panel swapped
Mounting plates removed
Weight reduction: -7 lbs

My car use to have a half azz 6 point cage that I cut out when I first got it. The rear bar mounting plates were connected to the wheel wells which I’m not a fan of and were only pinched welded in. The rear quarter panels had also been sliced in half and cut open to accommodate the bars. When I initially cut the cage out, I left all the mounting plates in place and patched the panels.

I removed the interior with my little man; actually he did the full removal to swap the rear interior panels and remove the mounting plates.

Little man in action :D

Removed the insulation behind the panels and from under the rear seat. Those three pieces were 2.5 lbs

The mounting plates were then grinded out. Just the rear two were 4.5 lbs. I'm going to remove the other 4 plates eventually as they're mickey mouse too.

I then added some heat tape to the floor tunnel area and under the seat as I was getting a bit of heat coming up. We’ll see how that works.

With everything removed, I then coated all the panels/floor with the truck bed liner spray that I’ve been using. This stuff works great and really does reduce noise and vibrations!

Thanks man!

No goal per say other than to pull out as much free weight as possible before starting with the parts weight reduction - wheels, seats, K-member etc. So far I've pulled out 97.5 lbs for free with more to come!

I still have the rear end to beef up, so I'm hoping to make some passes in October.

Sick man, 100 lbs of free sounds good to me. Whats your plans with the seats? Lighter fronts gut the rear?

Hope to see a video in the fall

Just lighter fronts. The rears are staying as I still cruise with the family and the little guy goes in the back.

Nice. I tossed the idea around of throwing out my back seat then decided against it.

Fenders Rolled:

I wasn't looking forward to rolling the fenders but I got it done with no damage. It took longer than I expected but I went super slow as suggested by others who have already done this. Total time from setup to clean-up was 4.5 hrs, not including the 3 hrs I let the car bake in the sun.

I'm happy with the end result and its given me some more space to fit in a beefier tire; at least a 315 DR with no other massaging.

New to me drag wheels
Weight Reduction: - 65lbs

Picked up some much needed drag wheels. The fronts are 17x4.5 which easily cleared the cobra brakes and the rears are 17x9.5 with a 295 DR which had clearance stationary, but rubbed just a smidge on the inside fenders around the corners. I pulled the rears back off and massaged the inside of the fenders and rolled that seem inwards which created +1.5" of clearance. I have a ton of room on the outside of the fender and with the addition of a spacer I will easily fit a 315 DR. The difference in weight between these wheels and the Saleens were -65lbs with the bulk of the weight, 42lbs coming off the front.

Oops, I miscalculated the wheel weights by 8lbs so it's a reduction of -57 lbs. My bad :chair:

Here's my current reductions in total:

-97.5 lbs removed for free
-57 lbs removed from parts
--------------------------
-154.5 lbs so far

Current = 3,331.5 lbs
