For a better comparison, the 14" FTR setup will consist of stock 05-10, floating two-piston calipers, Porterfield R4-S pads and factory-style GT500 rotors. The control will be Brett's 13" Roush setup with two-piston, floating calipers that also utilizes the R4-S pads but has Raybestos R-300 rotors, IIRC.

 I simply cannot wait...

Looks interesting, might look into this if I go with bigger than stock brakes (instead of going with cobra's).

Something interesting I just learned ... Ordered a set of HAWK pads for my 05, the part # HB484F.670 is listed to fit a lot of Mustang calipers. Pretty much '87-'11 various GT/V6 models, so the caliper design has to be very similar across the platforms. Reason for posting, would it be easier to use a 99-04 PBR GT caliper on the 14" rotors?

I'm only seeing that part number listed as compatible with s197 v6/gt/bullitt. The s197 pads are almost twice the size of what's on my car stock so I don't see any way they could be cross-compatible

Ya, it sounded weird to me too. I'll see what they look like when I get them. I have a few sets of pads from Fox/SN calipers to compare.

That must mean, IMO, that Hawk offers the HPS style of pad for the each of the vehicles listed, not one size fits all.

Wheels of progress turn slow man, it's a logistical challenge for Pete and Brett to link up.

I'll be ready when Pete is lol. Finishing up the rear axle build and I'll be good to go.

Nice, I thought you were gonna take longer. I'll go ahead and make the second bracket and get it shipped off to you in the next couple days

Good, now that I've spent a grip on the S197 we can proceed with this project and I will send Pete the remaining parts.

Why not send them straight to Brett?

Your setup was the inspiration behind this project. You're using a hydroboost setup correct? Can you shed some light on it's performance? I'm sure my GT m/c won't be sufficient for this.

yes i have hydoboost setup, as for performance it a lot better over stock 95 brakes and when i autox i put in a set of EBC yellow pads and the initial bite is great.
