Breaking Loose Head Bolts: To use or not to use?

I'd be checking #2 piston for TDC height. Probably bent the rod.

Have you had your heads checked out yet??
From the pics cylinders look normal to me.
they are at the machine shop now.
when i took the pass side valve cover off i immediately saw the broken spring and the valve when u turn it with a wrench, it didnt turn all the way around when a guy was checking it so its slightly bent

yeah the machine shop guy said the rod is slightly bent too.

are u saying check the height of piston when it is at TDC and compare it with the others?

I do know when i put back together I am going to measure the pushrod length and this guy is going to make sure if they arent right, i will get new rods

whats the easiest way to get the crank to stop turning with the heads and all off? I have it in gear and have tried 1,2, 5, and reverse and it still wants to sort of turn in 1st gear. I didnt keep going when it still wanted to move some. Parking brake doesnt work by the way. Car is a 5 spd

Put it in 5th, have someone stand on the brakes, take a can man out of your purse and open it. ;)
