No, I have not driven or owned a vortech powered vehicle. But positive displacement blowers are known for their down low performance. And down low performance is what the mod motor needs most.
As for heat soak, upgrade the cobra heat exchanger to a better unit that has fans, and add the factory heat exchanger between the reservoir and the blower. Port the blower... Don't pulley it.
It's all about what you are after and how you want it to perform. I like diesel truck torque, personally, and play towards that. If you want a high rpm screamer, build it.
