Ok i am thinking about switching to a C4 tranny. I have a stock 5 speed in the car right now but i have always been a auto guy.. And i am taking the car more in the direction on a track car with the every now and then street cruise.. So what i am asking will i be ok going with a C4?

    You will be fine...

I am also going to a C4 ASAP.

I spoke with Truuble about the swap, and you have to get a custom tranny cross member made up. He has done the swap, and Im sure he will chime in once he gets some free time to get online :)

accourding to Truuble it has to be made custom out of a fox body crossmember.

It's not really custom. But . . you have to have subframe connectors to bolt a fox crossmember to. It's pretty easy, just a couple of welds.

If you are going in the direction of a track only car, C4 is definitely the way to go. Mine is an Art Carr with a pro tree transbrake, reverse full manual valve body, and a 4500 stall. You might not want to go that far with it if you intend to continue driving on the street . . lol.
