C4 ??

Ok i am thinking about switching to a C4 tranny. I have a stock 5 speed in the car right now but i have always been a auto guy.. And i am taking the car more in the direction on a track car with the every now and then street cruise.. So what i am asking will i be ok going with a C4?

I spoke with Truuble about the swap, and you have to get a custom tranny cross member made up. He has done the swap, and Im sure he will chime in once he gets some free time to get online

Where do we go about getting that custom cross member....

accourding to Truuble it has to be made custom out of a fox body crossmember.

It's not really custom. But . . you have to have subframe connectors to bolt a fox crossmember to. It's pretty easy, just a couple of welds.

If you are going in the direction of a track only car, C4 is definitely the way to go. Mine is an Art Carr with a pro tree transbrake, reverse full manual valve body, and a 4500 stall. You might not want to go that far with it if you intend to continue driving on the street . . lol.
