do i need new cam gear bolts for a pi cam swap on a npi romeo motor? what is the part # if i do? thanks!

thanks dfg. i saw a thread on modded mustangs or modular depot (one of those m ones) that said you need new bolts, the old ones won't fit. thanks again.

For the PI cam swap you can reuse your factory cam gears, HOWEVER, you'll need to purchase the PI cam gear BOLTS as well. I believe the part # you need is YF7Z-6279-AA. You'll need 2 of course.

You can reuse the stock cam bolts up to 3 times... per my memory from the ford service manual CD service bulletins when i was a ford tech

but at $8-12 a piece.. why risk it. lol O0

What he was asking was can he use his NPI cam gear bolts in a PI cam...which is no as they are 2 different sizes.

And i have heard others say they reuse cam bolts more then once but your right at $12 just get new ones.
