These went on my car last week.

    They're made by COMP.
look well made to me. My guy says they're a TON easier to dial in than grinding the keyways (which he as done a # of times.)

    They are the Fodanza's!
Heath found out the same thing this week and has already taken them off.
Comp said they were not, and He even asked them specifically.

The standard remains - F**ING PARTS GUYS

Just thought Y'all would wanna see em.

The Comp cam gears should work just fine if they are installed right.
I think they look quite nice congrats.
I know quite a few people that had issues with Fidanza cam gears I
would stay far away from them.

I saw those at the PRI show in December. Talked to a couple Mod engine builders and they said they moved when they started up the engine to move the car around the shop...so beware.

Re: Cam Gears that don't Suck!

Those are the shitty Fidanza gears just rebadged with Comps name...they look like the old design as Fidanza just recently released a improved 2V version a few weeks ago.

Heres some broke Fidanza's...exactly like yours

and this is the new design (not exact for 4.6 but shows the 5 bolt instead of 4 upgrade)

I would not put that garbage in your new engine...as soon as i seen the threads start popping up i sold mine at a loss because i wasn't chancing my expensive build for some shitty $250 cam gears.

Re: Cam Gears that don't Suck!

Whats up? I have been wasting all my money racing and promoting our site :naughty: Ended up sneaking into the top 5 in MM this year. My wife is back in school and will be entering the Pharmacy program so i need to get rid of money wasting things...see car in classfieds..lol. Yeah, the engine builder was Al Pappito. I talked with him at PRI about them. He didn't even think Comp was going to sell them. They are basically like the Fidanzas. i would just really pay attention. I know JL was getting some made that were supposed to be identical to FRPP but half the price. I hope for your sake you don't have problems.

Thanks Droptop for posting pics of the those peice of junk Fidanza
    cam gears. O0
When I was installing my Centerforce DF clutch on my mustang my
friend called me to tell me that his Fidanza cam gears broke into peices
on him two weeks after his cam swap.I don't trust the new designed
cam gears from Fidanza I would never buy them.Everyone I know that
had the Comp cam gears loved them and had great results with them.

JL is Johnny Langton on Tccoa and Modular Depot and other forums. He is the first to do the PI intake swap on NPI heads and knows his shit. I remember him saying he was having a few sets made but that was like 2 years ago and never heard anything after that.

If you wan't adjustables and don't mind spending the money for a good set look up modcamponents they have a nice set.
