Heys guys!! I'm planning to do the pi intake and cam swap in a few weeks. Do I have the press on style cams? Do I have to get the cams from a romeo engine? I would like to do this the most cost effective way. Thank you.

If you have a Romeo than you have bolt on cam bolts.
You will need the PI cams, cam bolts, and the AFM or Ford cam tool unless
you want to spend 3-4 hours taking off the front timing cover and
putting it back together.Don't skip a tooth on the timing!
Good Luck.

Where can you get this tool and should I expect a mustang shop to have or know what it is?

Just ask them for the AFM cam tool for the 4.6L engine.
www.andersonfordmotorsport.com
All the does is holds the timing chain so you can qucikly
change camshafts without taking off the timing cover.

How long do you think replacing the cams would take (on average)?

all the romeo have bolt on cam gears but the 96-98 and 01-04 have different size cam bolts so you need to get the ones from pi cams if you swap.

press on gears are windsor...do you have the valve covers that came with the heads or no...the head i don't think will have 13/14 holes just the covers. What style cam caps are in? romeo has ladder style and i think the windsor has the individual.
