hey guys, im kinda new here but im learning a ton hangin out on these forums all day haha. anyways, I plan on doing the PI intake swap and cams but is there any other cams that would be a better bet to put in instead of the PI cams? without having any trouble either, I figure if im payin to get them in might as well get better ones the first time around....thanks for all your help
Yes. For the NPI powerband the Comp 262's are perfect and you will see nice gains too. With the Comp 262's you will not need to install new valve springs either.
This thread and its links might give you a little bit of help. http://www.sn95forums.com/forum/index.php?topic=7575.0
right on, sounds like the comp 262's are a good choice, and with the PI intake and these cams I should see pretty decent gains right?
Yes, you should see some very nice gains with that setup. I know someone with that setup NPI that ran high 13's pretty impressive if you ask me for running the NPI cylinder heads.
I would run the Crower stage one cams since they are more in the NPI powerband. If you do port and polish your NPI cylinder heads and install valve springs I would go with the Crower stage two cams. The Crower cams are pretty good if you ask me.
Yeah, well I was unsure since i'll be adding a pi intake so I really wanted to help wake the car up a bit.. before i throw some nitrous at it that is..
