I'll be living on campus when school starts and I wont be taking my car. I'm thinking I'm going to need a cover because my dad wont let me store it in the garage.

I see covers at auto parts stores that range from $20-100. What should I look for in a cover and what should I look at in price?

I live in a part of pennsylvania that gets the most snow anually during the winter months (right smack in the middle of the 4sq mile area!) and I need something suitable for that.

Thought I have another question. If I come home and I want to get in the car for wahtever reason, how would I take off the cover that is loaded with ice and snow galore? Am I screwed until it melts away?

I've seen sheets shatter up here in the winter when they get blasted by ice and snow. Will a car cover do the same?

You have to spend good money on a car cover id say minimum $100.

You have to look for ones that repel moisture and let the car brethe yet dont let in rain or moisture.

I have heard of ppl using the Simonz ones that were $100ish and said they were mold resistant and breatheable but they just got kinda moldy and scratched up the car.

Also put a tarp under the car as well, drive over top of it then put on the car cover...good luck on your hunt.

I never had to deal with the snow aspect. But as Matt said, you should find a cover that will breath and repell moisture. If you don't your paint will pay for it. good luck
