car stalls in reverse

With in the past 2 weeks now. Almost every time I put the car in reverse it stalls I have a stock auto Transmission in a 1995 GT 5.0. any one have any ideas?????

And not when you put in drive? The IAC valve is what maintains the idle when going from no engine load (park or neutral) to engine load (reverse and drive).

Unplug the iac and try reverse, if it doesn't stall you need a new iac valve. If it still stalls, iac is not the issue. How high is your idle set at? When mine was automatic it would stall going in reverse and drive, bumped the idle up and it helped big time.

turned up the IAC.. a hair . helped big time car even runs better thanks. Going to start looking for some GT40 heads and a better intake now.......
