sounds like an insurance scam to me.... especially with all of your "I dont even want it back" posts, and the ones saying "im going to get an old honda so I dont have a car payment"

What insurance company do you have? I'd like to send them an e-mail.

Sounds like someone has done it before to know if that's the way to scam the insurance, this is the type of negative bull***t that makes hard working people give up, if they are honest they are damned if they are dishonest they are damned, so if you got something negative to say, say it to the people who stole the car, you weren't there. You don't know what happened, I know this man personally, scamming insurance is not something he would do. The car meant a lot to him. No need to bash a man while he is down. NO NEED FOR NEGATIVITY ON A HARD WORKING MAN LIKE EVILSN

Im not trying to bash you or anything like that at all. Just seems like things are a bit off. Feelings wise. Seems more like a scam to me. but hey,not my car not my situation so i dont really car. Like i said in my previous post about it,not an ideal car really sought after and not really an easy car to hotwire. i do agree with Addermk2 You were a little quick to say oh well, gonna get a honda..then to oh wait,i loved this car....and back again to the honda thing. idk just seems off to me. but just MY opinion. If you cant handle opinions you shouldn't post of forums or social media for that matter.

Ok not a problem. I'd hate for you guys to have to go thru a situation like this. Not something I would wish on anyone.

Yes it does. You know how it feels then. It just suck when people imply I would try and scam my insurance company, if you met me in person you would know I would never do that ever.

8 cars, same MO in his area, stolen, been taken and committed God knows what crime, dumped, and burned, yet he is scamming the insurance? Multiple people in his area have had the same crime committed to them. It's a shame to say more people have been violated by whoever did this to EVILSN, but I hope they get theirs one day.

Tbh, I don't think it's right to have even posted it to the forum in general. I understand his perspective... but it's kinda like getting into an accident

You don't say a damn thing until after the case is settled.

My point is, this isn't a private forum. Someone can EASILY find the things you've said, and IF you are investigated... it can cause you a WORLD of problems.

damn guys the dude came on to say that his car got stolen and suddenly in a few posts we know so much about him to start throwing out insinuations and accusations?

And on the flip side of the coin don't be so sensitive your lucky if you only get one hater per post....

I understand what your saying adder, I didn't think about it like that. I would have never thought about it in that way that I could be doing something wrong. I would never!!!

About 10 years ago when I was living in a crappy apartment complex. Some shit-bag broke into the car that I had at the time and stole my amplifier, my stereo, and some other misc stuff from the center console. I had a really bad vibe with the car after that experience, and needless to say, later on that same day I traded that car in for my first SN95. (Silver lining?) We found out later on that it was my ex girlfriend's new POS boyfriend that did it, but there wasn't enough evidence to do anything.

Now I keep all my expensive vehicles indoors, under lock and key, with cameras on them 24/7. Even our inexpensive vehicles (my 08 vic, the wife's escort, and my ranger) we leave outside, but they're still under a camera and the doors are always locked... Live and learn.

I'm sorry to hear that you had to go through this experience... Hopefully it all gets taken care of and settled quickly and you can move on from it.

Thank you deeplist. Me too, it's hard believe it's really gone. I get really attached to my vehicles.

And knowing scum bags walk past my house all house of the night and pull on my door handles is enough to make me build another shop to keep every vehicle inside!!!

Seriously guys? What happened to innocent till proven guilty? (not saying you are guilty OP)

From my understanding this is a common thing, for people to steal cars then light em up.

Hope everything works out for you OP!!

I always recommend the cameras to everyone. It's a huge deterrent, and if not that it's at least evidence.
Deeplist can recommend some good ones

It's definitely a shitty situation but it can only serve as a learning experience. If extra precautions need to be taken in your area, then do what needs to be done. If you know people are walking past your house and tugging on the car handles, invest in an alarm. Cameras, better lighting, even a dog are all extra steps you can take in helping prevent these kinds of things from happening. Signage, talking to neighbors, calling your PD to notify them about the problem area... there's dozens of ways to protect yourself and your belongings.

I'm know the feeling of having your hard earned things taken from your sucks, but it's up to you to ensure it doesn't happen again.

My wife's Supra and My 95 Cobra were both stolen back in the mid 90's. Her Supra was stripped and burnt, my 95 was flat bedded from a mall parking lot while I ate lunch and never found.

It does suck when this happens but this is why we pay insurance. You usually get a decent check and go buy something else.
