I almost have the dash/pod ready for paint and now I can't help but think what it would look like different. I have had it as a gloss black with the green stripe for a while now. Do ya think a metallic black with the stripe would look good or bad?

here is what it has looked like.

after some thought I do too. It also means I do not have to repaint the shift knob or the shifter bezel!

I put the base coat of gloss black on all the pieces and I have been waiting 48 hrs for it to cure before I tape it up to paint the stripe and then clear it all. While I was waiting I decided to go ahead and get all the brackets anodized. I mainly did it because I didn't want the speaker bracket to show. I could have painted but now that I have this option locally its hard to turn down. The price is fair and there is something about them now that they are anodized that they just look so much more professional. I poped the speaker into the pod just to make sure it would not be seen and was happy with it.

I am looking forward to start the green/clear hopefully tonight.

and for those times at shows

And I got the deck/screen mounted up with the brackets I got anodized.

The deck/screen are now mounted in 3 places between the trim ring up front, the brackets in the middle of each and then as well on the end they are not going anywhere.

The dvd player has a detachable face. The screen has this cover that I am not sure if I will gloss and put the stripe on it, or just put the stripe on it. It will not be used all that often but it must match for those times it will be used.

yes and I am going to take that stripe out across it as well. I think with it smooth/glossy and striped it will almost look like a pocket or something and then my only fear is finding a place to keep it where it will not get scratched....

I finally got the lens material and got it cut to fit. I decided to work the CDT (speaker manf) little logo in since it was small and I had some space. With out direct light on it, it just looks like a smoked lens.
