Nope. Easiest way is to buy an 03/04 Mach 1... just a very few basic mods, a tune & you are at or over 300RWHP. hehe... I know one college student selling his for 14k last time I looked...he is hurting most are 18k to 22k though, neat cars.

1995 Mustang GT - $5000

-H/C/I - $2300
-Full exhaust - $900
-3.73's - $400

= ~9,000 for 300hp

Mach 1 = $15,000

Intake/Tune/Exhaust/Gears - $1200

= ~17,000 for 300hp


I think I found the answer.

Or if you pay $4000 for a 94(just look around) or $5k for a really nice one
and a vortech $2600 (+800 for install) but if you can do HCI the vortech is Simple.
total $6600- $7600
330rwhp and with a $100 pulley about 360-370rwhp
I forgot power pipe $99-$250 add 30 rwhp

Hello Anrev and Stevo,

My 95 GT vert with 124k miles cost me $4800.00. Yes it needs work. But its getting there and its my DD.

My 95gt cost me 5k. It came with a folder with every tire change,oil change, any maintenance receipts done to the car. In the folder was the original window new car sticker, even the plastic wrapper for the keys was there. Car has about 70k on it and is my wifes DD. With all this documentation if i put it in storage for 30 yrs you would see it on Barret Jackson LOL.

Good price ! I pay $8,500.00 U.S. for my 94 GT whit only 30,000 miles, but here in Canada you can't drive a Mustang GT 12 months a year, so milleage are lower.

well here in california almost anything is illegal, so the mach 1 wins that battle hands down. comfortable depends on the driver but to most people a mach 1 willl be way more comfortable than a 95 gt. i ridden in one and the seats are incredible, since theyre newer thyre less squeaks and rattles and a more options.and theyre engines respond to simple modifications, starting at 275 rwhp helps too. im not dissing ur car man, i have a fox , and theyre not as comfortable as any sn95. im just stating that u cant compare a 95 gt to a mach 1, and why the mach1 costs so much money.

My car is about to turn over 100k drives like a new car (just as a mach 1) With over 500hp. I get around 18mpg if I stay out of it. So just because its new doesnt mean it rides better. If you want a car to hold its value buy a saleen.

Most things are illegal yes. But I have a H/C/I with full boltons and its smog legal. Legal in every way. You just have to buy the right parts from the right people.

-Subframes
-Shocks/struts
-Front sway bar
-Mach 1 seats

There is the comfortable factor in a 5.0. Now you have 8,000 left over to get it to 300hp. Facts are, 5.0's are cheaper to buy, build, and repair.

The man said COST EFFECTIVE 300rwhp. Not the car that is more capable. A 5.0 will always be the way to go when your under a budget.

If you change heads cam and intake and add a super charger your looking at well over 400whp

I agree, also Mach 1 are a limited edition so the car will keep a good value, and it's not easy to find a 94-95 GT in good shape whit low millage.

im not trying to say that mach 1 is more cost effective, my point is that there is a reason why the mach 1 is so much more expensive than a 94-95 gt. and that IT IS a better car. hell if we rate cars by hp instead of all the variable why dont we all buy foxes??? hell why dont we all buy camaros. because of the OVERALL car. i can make my car run as fast or faster than a 96-98 cobra with chump change does that make my car more cost effective??? HELL NOOO, first the newer cobra is more comfortable, looks better, handles better, and has more overall potential 4v>2v. thats why im claiming not to compare a mach 1 with a 94-95 gt.

I'm surprised by the price of a 95 GT in U.S., is it really possible to buy one for $5000.00 ?

In Canada it's almost $10,000.00 U.S. for a clean one whit low millage.

For a Mach 1 it's around $23,000.00 U.S.
