It does not come in till Friday so I started on the process of getting ready for a good wax job

Step one a good wash is always a must before waxing.

Step two a full Clay Bar treatment I use water while I clay bar but you can use a spray detailer, This will removed the old wax and other contamination. (after you clay bar use some quick detailer for a smoother surface and remove the clay left behind.)

great looking car austin !

IMO, deep reflections seems more like a glaze than a wax.

Sealant first or you just wasted your time.. Also you really need a machine buffer to break the polish down enough to really work. Unless you have Chuck Norris skills! If you're worried about the decals just use some painters tape and do the small areas between the decals by hand.

I like the Chemical Guys line especially the Sealants. I tend to choose Menzerna for Polishing though.

Jetseal is excellent

I tried a sample of that. It was ok, but there were several sealants that in my opinion, far surpassed it in both looks and longevity. Among them were Wolfgang, Four Star and Duragloss. Duragloss gets bonus points for being available locally.
