Chilton or Haynes?

I've always had a manual for my older cars (and motorcycles), just felt they were always a great reference. Typically I've always gone with Clymer's and the HD service manuals for my motorcycles. Does anyone here have any recommendations for me?

forget them both and if you can afford it go on ebay and get some of the old factory manuals. There are a few different versions for electrical and such but the info they have is SOOOOO much better than anything chilton or hayes has ever put out. They cost a little more but they are worth it if your keeping it for a while

They have gone up in price since I got mine I thought I got the hole set for around $75 but this is the first one I pull up. The orange covers is what ya want trust me they have everything...

Ford manuals are way better
Chilton Haynes those type of repair books skip a lot of the key things

I think we all know I am happy to try and help anytime I can(and add mayhem when I can't)

. The ford manuals though for example have a pic and the pin out of EVERY wire harness in the car as well as their locations. They have diagnostic tests that are not in the over the counter manuals and so much more.
