yeah we also polished the exhaust pipe where it runs through. Look through some of the pics and you will find one of it looking REALLY DIRTY. Then another one or 2 where it is nice and shiney. It's amazing what polish does.

im sure Paul is going to have some sort of a smirk on his face and a "how in the hell can you be that dumb" but i will ask anyways. ;D

exactly what do you do to polish stuff like that? and what products did you use.. can you kinda give me a quick tutorial on how to do it? because i want to do my tailpipes and some stuff under the hood.

and wow that is an amazing finish. it goes from like raw aluminum or steel or w/e it is, to like mirror finish.. how do you do that? ive never polished something.

That's a point that got blown way out of proportion on the forums.

the famous crack they show is from a track car, hours of hard breaking.

They now beveled the rim of the hole to make it less of a stress point.

I've never had any problem with mine.
THe crossdrilling will keep the rotors cooler, that's what you need.
And they look sweet. ;D

Rotors are cross drilled to vent gases out from between the pad and the rotor. As the pad "burns" away, gasses are produced between the two. Under extreme heat and hard braking, those gases on a solid rotor can push the pad back and off the rotor causing a loss of braking power. The slots wipe the face of the pad clean so you have a constant fresh surface. THAT is why they're slotted and drilled. The vents sandwiched in the middle of rotor (around the circumference) are for cool. Sure, the drilled holes assist a lil bit in cooling but that isn't the original intention. Just a lil FYI

Yes that's a better definition.

Letting the gas out, keeps the heat down.
it also helps in the cooling of the rotor area.
I didn't explain it very well. Good info ryclef!

Do they call that brake fade when the gas get's trapped on a solid rotor?

anyway, don't sweat the hype
I'd recommend the Baer rotors.
