Comp Cams

Anyone who has comp cams with 234/238 have any tips and tidbits on them? I’m looking to buy them but I know I would have to get new valve springs and a tune so I would be looking at over 1200 bucks. I’m not sure if it’ll be work that much. Any info helps. Thanks!

Calling compcams for info is a good idea. They the best in the business and have pioneered many designs and thats not just camshafts.

I ran a 240 240 in my car for a while with original heads and original springs
Its when you get into the 260 range I believe you need to upgrade the heads and springs
I would have to look at my cam card again to see it
Its been a while I have used compcams
But now I have an e303 cam with ford aluminum heads

Ah I see. Since I have PI heads I’m already making more than 260 with my other various mods. So I would have to get new valves then regardless. Thank you. I’m looking for some with a good lope and some more power.. Do you have any sound clips?

I'm about to do a PI swap. What other mods have you done? Is that 260 at the flywheel or at the tires?

Sorry for late reply. But I have an 03, it has. 75mm Plenum and Throttle Body, CAI, BBK Aluminium Fuel Rails, Ford Racing Intake manifold and SR Underdrive Pulleys. Not sure how much power she’s making but she’s decently quick

Thanks. I don't have the fuel rails or underdrive pulleys, but have Screamin' Demon coils and will have shorty headers with 2.5" exhaust.
