Recently, I’ve been in contact with Dakota Digital and asked “what is everything I’d need” for my ‘95 Cobra?
Fast forward an email or two and DD mentioned a PATS system. My preliminary research indicates ‘96 and later had this Passive Anti-Theft System. So why would this even come up in conversation? I’m not upset that DD brought it up, but , and forgive my ignorance, how would an anti-theft system even relate to a gauge cluster??

no pats on 95. They probably just assumed that all sn95 had them since the majority of them do

In ‘99 the mustang gauge cluster communicated with the security system and the car would not start if the gauge cluster was removed. Your car will be fine.

Yeah, that’s what I figured. Makes me apprehensive ie, “shouldn’t HE have known that?”

I would imagine the same. But at least now I know for certain. Thanks everyone!

at this point I think most people have forgot that the 5.0 was in the sn95
True story. My best friend who is a Mustang guy (although mostly classics) had no idea my car had the 302 in it when I got it.
