Just traded my CJ5 Jeep for this 95gt, now im having a few problems id like to see if anyone can help me with, here goes in no particlar order

the coolent light came on and pretty much stays on, i checked the level and it full (but sprays out when i pull the cap, so its under pressure still)

the check engine light flashes on and off now and then doesnt stay on at any particlar time but comes on for a bit then other times it stays off

the engine surges (ive seen this posted about quiet a bit)

not sure if this is part of the engine surge, but it cuts out, you can fell the motor doggin then it picks back up, then dogs out, on cruise control it seems it works ok though?

tach works only pariodically, most of the time it doesnt work out all, but when i get in the high RPMs it kicks on,

little about the car, its a 95 gt with the 5.0 and a automatic, has a cold air intake, and flowmasters, and new catalatic converters, car has 135k miles on it, and i put on about 250miles on it,

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, was told to take it somewhere and get a full diagostics on it and go from there, thanks in advance to a new mustang guy.

the radiator might be full but the light is on because the overflow tank doesnt have enough in it. There is a cold and hot mark so fill it up to the proper level and it should go off. if not i know people have had it come on due to gunk built up in it but it is pry just low.

it would be best to scan it first. it could be about anything.

there is a lot of posts about surging idles so just look around and you will find that no problem (clean maf, iac, tb etc)

i would check the overflow like meangrn said and i had the same idle surge problem mine was because of the idle control sensor which you can get for like 44 bucks at advance or just pop it off and clean it out yourself it's attached to your throttle body if not that then i would say its a vacum leak somewhere which maybe also why your check engine light is coming on periodically.
