im sure its similair if not the same to do on a 2v.

has anyone done this before?

besides the COPs, 03/04 head covers, anything else ill need? i

i see ill need a new pcv hose, bc the location is closer to the fire wall.

I dont see why youd go to coil on plug set up's its obviously not for performance.

It neatens everything up, but that's about the only benefit

its an effing engine, its not your girlfriend lol its dirty smelly, oily....why sacrifice quality with a known system that works on some of the most powerful engiens in the world, just to make it look pretty....

Re: 98 cobra engine, COP conversion.

my engine isnt smelly, oily, or dirty. it still has a brand new look since its a factory reman (only had it for 3000 miles).. thats what inspired me to make everything look good under hood

and i know there are no performance gains.

this is just something i wanted to do to continue cleaning up the engine bay and just something to get hands on experience.
i dont work on my car much, when i do, its usually fixing broken sh*t.

it would be nice and a confidence booster for me to pull this off.

thanks for your concern though :p

I bought a harness from The Red Monster on SVTP this morning. It will be a treat not to look at that mess of spaghetti after the "C" head swap.

Re: 98 cobra engine, COP conversion.

I just put my coil backs in the back - no messy wires in front and I get to keep the more reliable wires.
I thought about going COP after my C-head swap but I can't justify the cost of the new cam covers and COPs and wiring, just to go with a less reliable ignition system that looks nice.

my tuner says the OEM 2003/2004 cobra ignition is a pretty reliable set up. the problem is the aftermarket sets...

99+ 4v Valve Covers with Cop Covers.
99+ COP's. I got a set on ebay for 70 bucks.
The fuel rail is gonna be your biggest PIA btw.
Cobra throttle cable if you dont already have one (GT one wont reach)
You will need the cobra's harness as you will need to splice some plugs off the cobra one onto a GT harness.
