So still in the planning stages of this part of my build, but eventually, I do want to set my car up for flexfuel and E85 as they're building a Buccee's an exit down from me and easily accessible corn on a soon-to-be boosted car makes me a happy boy.

I know there's a handful of yall on corn, what are you guys running to keep everything happy on E85? I know I'll need a E85 specific fuel pump and filter, I know I'll likely need to change lines out to some E85 stuff but what specifically are you guys running on your cars? Any trick pieces to make life easy when swapping over? Any thing you wasted money on that you wouldn't do again? I'm running a Microsquirt on my car so I have the I/O to run a flex sensor, not supper worried about that part, but I'd like to keep it as budget friendly as I can, but don't mind spending money if it'll make my life easier/better.

Don't you have your car on corn too? You trying to hold back some knowledge here man?

Yes, it does.

No, I am not.

My car has PTFE lined, stainless braided fuel lines, Stainless steel AN fittings, an in-line [cartridge type] 10 micron filter and an E85 rated fuel pump. For a boosted application, I'd suspect AT THE LEAST 8AN feed and 6AN return would suffice. I will not speculate what injectors you need. Perhaps @Musturd can chime in as well.

If you're using a stock tank, Quantum Fuel sells the pump hanger with those sizes welded in place. There are other alternatives, such as the ON3 03/04 Cobra tank with it's baffles and a dual [triple capable] billet fuel hat in place. It is a cost effective [compared to Aeromotive, everything is cost effective] option and one that I intend to make.

I am using a Continental ethanol content sensor which should interface with your squirty squirt.

douche.. I mean <3 sammykins :p

Like white said , I run ptfe hose -8 feed -6 return . I used to run the quantum hanger currently running a dual pump hat in a stock tank . For injectors 30% percent larger then your current setup is usually a good rule of thumb . I just woke up , I can chime in and provide more info later .

My original, not well thought out plan, was just to run a Accufab adjustable FPR on the stock rails, a good 450lph E85 pump, and likely 80lb FRPP injectors but I started to realize that wouldn't work with the rubber cross-over lines and rubber bits in the factory system that the E85 would eat away eventually.

The Quantum hangar is a good deal and would be a good start to building a system. I didn't realize it or the On3 tank existed. Is the On3 setup basically a Aeromotive knockoff? What got you guys going towards multiple fuel pump options?

The real problem is I just don't know what to expect fueling needs will be with the Vortech. On a stock motor, that's pretty well documented, but this Vortech does have a smaller 8 rib setup that I need to remeasure. Turns out I've got the dished pistons, so should be pretty low compression, so it's real tempting to crank the ole girl up a bit more and I am a big fan of not spending the same money twice if I can help it.

the rubber crossover lines on the rails are lined and e85 safe . It’s the other stuff that’s no good

You may recall Brett Madsen nearly lost his car due to a ruptured crossover line so just pay attention to it. Tough to say it was E85 related or not.

I would just buy 6an ptfe kit and a 8an ptfe kit from evil energy . Stuffs more the affordable and great for the money the fittings are all easy to put together and don’t leak . Hard to beat for the price .

Be sure to look into maintenance requirements with ethanol. We always see the potential results with ethanol but we never hear about maintenance needs. Like clearing the tank and fuel system when the car sits for extended times or oil change intervals.

That’s a good point , I change my oil 2-3 times a season , oil changes are cheap engines are not . Usually only put 2500 miles on the car year

The car likely won't be E85 exclusive, so not super concerned with the tank crudding up too fast. The incoming Buccee's, which still won't be here for likely another year and a half will be my only super local spot. I keep oil filters on the shelf so tossing a couple more changes to it throughout a year won't be a big deal. I just don't want any problems later on from using E85 and having to redo the system then. I'd much rather spend the cash now on being fully flex-fuel happy and roll.

You’ll be happy you did . I’ve been on ethanol for a couple years now . Only adding a flex sensor finally , I just have two tune files currently
