Awesome car! Question on the transmission, is that hard line from the test port (think that's right) to the tail shaft one of them forced lube set-ups for the tail shaft bushing? Or is it just the angle I'm seeing the line at?

Those valve covers are really sharp looking also!

Yes that is the tail shaft lube mod. If you are running 4.10 gears or high it is recomended that you run a line from the test port to supply extra oil to the tail shaft for a 4r70w.

Update:

Made some progress on the gauge bezel. The radiator is in along with the alternator. I replaced my KYB stuff with tokico's in the front and cobra bilstein's in the rear. The front suspension is torqued to spec. Just need to do the rear. I'll do a DIY alignment before I take it to Firestone. Painting the brake calipers, brake lines and starting on the wiring. Someone requested a picture up top. The clearance is very tight on both sides of the towers. Slowly but surely, military training and overtime at work is keeping me from finishing this thing anytime soon.

Here is a picture of the cold air intake system. The housing is from a 2012 GT500, I replaced the paper filter with a K&N. Getting the bottom coolant hoses put in. Should be hitting is hard this weekend! More updates to follow!

Updates:

Man haven't done a update in a while.

Pedal Assembly:

20160621_203026_zpsrh898qge.jpg

I made my own bracket to mount the pedal, a piece of scrap aluminum.

Wiring:

So I'm using the Coyote Control Pack. If you buy a complete engine with the wiring harness, and you are good with wiring...have fun. haha I paid extra for the control pack because I'm stupid when it comes to wiring.

This was taken a couple weeks ago, everything is working but the fuel gauge, have to dial in the ohm's to work correctly. Still going to keep the bottom dash lights, Autometer sells the twist sockets that fit perfectly. Gotta find them cheap though. They are $10 a pop new.

20160709_104612_zpscezhosqu.jpg

Wilwood 4 Piston Calipers. Had a custom CNC bracket made to fit. They are for a C5 corvette.

20160624_151817_zps3swodpvn.jpg

Wheels:

I bought Mustang 11-14 Track Pack wheels (19x9 front, 19x10 rear). Had some rubbing issues in the front so had to get a 1" spacer to resolve that issue. With the rear I'm using a 1.5" spacer to fit the 19x10 with a 295/30/19 tire.

Exhaust:

So right now I have temporarily put some 2.5" flex pipe for the down tubes until I can go to a exhaust shop to have the permanent fix. The exhaust is mid length kooks, dual 2.5", x-pipe and magnaflow mufflers at the rear.

SCT Tune:

So my problem right now, every time I create a tune and load it to the car I get a no start condition. If I load the stock tune back to the car she will fire right up. So working with SCT and couple guys on the forums to help me out.

That is about it, I have been able to drive the car around on low RMP's. I've been babying the shit out of it. Took it out on the highway and drives ok. So far I have clocked 70 miles on the set up.

Not using the engine cover anymore, because it does not fit when you close the hood. Sucks, really wanted to keep it on there.

GPS works great, takes 5 seconds to get the satellite and its supposed to be pretty accurate. Just not accurate in a tunnel. Doesn't work well in a mountain. But no mountains in Wisconsin.

Awesome progress! Glad you are already driving around too. I myself still need a dyno tune but after a few more goodies, the intake diameter/maf location is very important as I've figured out from the forums. If you use anything but the factory box-doesnt fit well at all, it will cause drive ability issues. Did you use the Speed Cal? I didn't at first and it would die after hard launches, scared the crap out of me. There is a youtube video where the guy runs at the track, car moves pretty quick, and it dies at the end of the video. Anyway hell of a car you got there!

No not using a speed cal, I was hoping to have a dyno tune here soon in the next month or so.

Updates:

Power steering: I'm having the worst luck with my power steering. I fix a leak, replace the rack, replace a line, replace a line and now the reservoir cracks. Ok cool. I replaced it with a Moroso unit, no cracks. But with my luck it will probably melt away IDK. I like it, a little engine dress up.

Battery trunk switch! Doesn't work for some reason, Hmmm?

20160802_214352_zpswcufolg3.jpg

I was able to find a black clean looking ON/OFF 12V switch for the OD. Looks pretty stock-clean.

Also the red button on top of the Hurst handle, any guesses what it's wired up to?

20160802_214141_zpsbuxdxzir.jpg

Wheels & Tires: So I sold off my stock Mustang track pack wheels. Why? because they were all 19x9 and I wanted to buy a 19x10 for the rear for the wider tire. You can't sell two and buy two because the color is not the same. Sell all four! I found out that the aftermarket track pack wheels are 3 pounds lighter then stock. Saved 12 pounds!

I have a 1" spacer in front and a 1/8" in the rear to clear the parking brake cable. Honestly I could zip tie the cable and lose the spacer I guess. The front is a 255/30 and rear is a 295/30. I went with HANKOOK VENTUS V12. Nothing super great, good overall tire for summer and dry fun so it will do the job. Safe for wet day heading home if I get caught in the rain.

Aftermarket left, stock right. The wheel cap stickers are from ClintD. 5 for $15. Send him a PM.

Front with 1" spacer, not too bad

Lastly, working on little things. To name a few: Wire up gauge lights / clean up harness, Exhaust down pipes, Radio, smaller interior touches, Battery off switch and a couple other things.

This winter is body work and a possible paint job. Pink.

Power steering tank does look sharp. Hopefully it fixed the issue. What's the deal with the battery switch. What isn't working?

I am guessing the red button is for line lock. and the OD switch does look clean lol
