Cutting stock springs?????? EH

If I cut my stock springs to lower my car until I buy new springs, how horrible will the ride be?? :help2:

Im not sure, from what I have heard over the years cutting the stockers means a rough ride for sure, but how rough I dont know. If you plan on getting springs anyway it seems like a lot of extra work since your getting aftermarket ones in a bit anyway.

i heard as long as you cut the dead coils out and no more than 2 each then it should be fine.

i know many terminator owners do it, and i heard around 2in or so.

Someone cut their springs and tell me how it looks/rides!

MAXSPEED= Ebay...they are decent springs.

I cut my drag springs, and noticed no difference in ride.

I really want the same springs as Droptoppony's car, but maxspeeds are cheap and i think i may be leaning towards the cheap route.

ya just cut the dead coils trust me you start cutting more then that you will regret it i did it when i had my talon Tsi it was the worse thign i ever did

I know alot of guys who cut the stock springs. The problem is people cut too much out and the is what causes the rough ride...which gets rougher then stock with any lower spring you add. If you just cut like a 1/2 coil from each end of each spring you will get about an inch lower and not destroy the ride much.

That said i wouldn't fuss with cutting springs, if your gonna go through the trouble og removing them just get new ones.

Thats stupid! You will have it apart to install springs so you might as well do the shocks and struts...Makes no sense to take it all apart again.
You probably won't even need CC plates with the H&R's...my stock CC's align my car up perfectly.
