Meguire's Gold Class liquid. it's just what ive always had in my garage. i think it was my friend's and he left it at my house a long time ago. i'll spend more money on better stuff when my car gets painted until then there is no point.

I used the meguairs ultimate polymer wax the other day. It beads like a mother. Again, I wouldn't expect it to be as good as something from CG etc. simply because it's half the cost. But for what it is, did an awesome job.

Scoff at your peril gentlemen but this stuff works amazingly well for not a lot of dough. Its actually a mold release compound and although it has slightly different characteristics from `auto` wax essentially it does a top job. It hardens to a shell and can be hard work but beading occurs `months`later and as its designed to baked in an oven heat extremes are no problem. I used it originally when I had my first Sierra Cosworth (google it if you don`t know) when I worked in a laminating shop and I`ve used it since.

I never understand these threads....the steps that come before the wax are what makes all the difference. ( clay bar, polishing)

Wax is just there to protect the paint, its not supposed to be the product that makes the paint look good.

ok but where are the before pictures?

The only way a "wax" should make a paint look better is if contains fillers...and no offense but anyone that throws fillers on a car is not a true detailer.

That will simply mask the problems untill it rains or w/e.

Im just saying, wax shouldnt be what you rely on to add depth and clarity to your paint.

That is what polishing is for...and if you feel the need, you can put a coat of glaze on it to get extra depth

Keeko, I have used honeywax on my car, but you should put a coat of UV resistant wax over top of it. It's not UV resistant. I use it every day at work on the molds lol.
