I've always personally thought these where cool but not almost $200 cool as being a high school student I was looking at buying just the "dynamite sticks" and going from there but I can't find them for any less so I did some searching on the darkside and came across this http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=270960 Sent from the future
I am not sure I would trust my tail/brake lights to be done by the cheapest possibility you could find.
I'm not really sure what you mean by "dynamite stick". Back in "the day" when I had my V6, I bought a sequential kit from GT Concepts for like $45 or $50 (at the time) and it came with everything needed. It wasn't exactly plug and play, and it did involve a little bit of cutting and splicing, but that wasn't hard and I was already familiar with the soldering gun. I'm not so sure I would trust a lot of these "kits" available nowadays on places like eBay and what-not.
I would hope these bow-tie fans would encase that circuit board in something and not just shove it behind their tail lamp assembly with all those exposed leads. Also, sequential tails with only two bulbs per side is about :handz:.
I've used this one before with good results. Anyone should be able to install it with the included instructions. http://mustangtaillightsequencers.com/
