Winter here isn't too bad. We don't get much snow but it's cold enough to put the car away from Nov to March.

My Winter driver is my 88 Toyota 4wd truck.

Super nice day today so dug out the Cobra and drove it.

I haven't done much to it in the last year other than drive an enjoy it.

I did just get an S281 spoiler from Special carbon fiber.

I hated the black spoiler...

Envoy fogs look great man! I went that route when I swapped to a cobra bumper, they're well priced and I like the way they fill out the bumper.

Thanks! They match the Cobra headlights better than the stockers.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty sure the headlights are from Latemodelresto. I had them in my GT before i got this car.

My car still has the stock 3.27 gears so I am looking for an 8.8 to build and install 4.10's in. Has anyone used this kit or have a better suggestion?

My motor is still pretty stock but if I am going to rebuild the rear I might as well make it bulletproof.

Not a bad looking kit. Looks to include pretty much everything needed. I would recommend a 3.73 gear over the 4.10. Better all around for street duty and performance.

Thanks for the reply about the gears. I'm torn between the 3.73 and 4.10's. I did a 100 mile drive yesterday. At 85 the car is turning 2200 rpms.

My personal opinion, aka my personal asshole :D, is that for you to get 3.73's, but my all time favorite is 3.55's. I've got 3.55's still in the box for my head/cam swap next month, but I also live by I-64, and that's 70-75 mph country. The 3.73's will have you around 250-300 rpms less than the 4.10's if I'm thinking correctly. I think you will be happy with the 3.73's honestly.

Don't FEAR the gear!

If you plan on keeping the 4V NA, the 4.10's will be a great and fun gear. They are not as bad as one would expect.
But if future plans call for a positive displacement blower or turbo then the 3.55's would probably be better.

Right on bro, definitely 3.55's for blower cars is a must. For NA cars, most go by this rule of thumb: 3.73's for manuals, and 4.10's for auto's, but of course that's just for your average mod-er. On a track it will play more of a factor, but you will have to take there to find out.

That's what I think. I don't plan on FI anytime soon. The car is really happy at 3000 plus rpm and it's just a fun driver anyway.

I've been looking for a set of Mac long tubes and a Cobra 8.8 for a long time and found them last weekend. I am going to get the headers ceramic coated.

Eventually the plan is to build the rear with 4.10 gears and swap it into the car.

I checked on my headers a the Ceramic coated today. He had one done and the other should be done later today. I decided to have them done in black and it looks good.

Went for ride up to Sandia Crest today. Top down, beautiful day. The last time I drove up there was before I changed the suspension on the Cobra. This car is so much fun to drive!
