Do I need the air tube?

    So I'm under the car replacing my stock hpipe/cats with an off road hpipe and I see that when the previous owner rebuilt the engine he just plugged the tube. Can I just delete the tube and close it off at the hpipe? I see is has this filter thing at the end do I need that?[​IMG]

    Thats actually a check valve. You could remove the crossover and install air delete bolts in the back of the heads. You don’t need to run any of that air pump stuff.

    If it's been running like this I'm sure they already installed the bolts in the back of the heads right? What's the purpose of the check valve?

    Do you have emissions tests
    That would be the only down fall
    I did a complete delete on mine
    But I have no emissions tests
