With the car on a lift yesterday, I jumped at the opportunity to snap a ton of pics of the undercarriage. I noticed that the driver side rear spring has a bushing or coupler (?) at the base of it. The passenger side does not. It’s metal on metal. Is this ok?

Those are the spring isolators. They help quiet down the springs. They add a touch of height to the ride as well. You do not need them if you dont want to. I lowered my car a few months ago and I chose to not re install them

you might get noise with out them but you can always give a few wraps of electrical tape on the bottom coils to help

Saw an upper and lower set for under $30 at LMR and also at Maximum Motorsports. May give one of them a trigger pull.

Know that poly isolators will likely raise your ride height slightly (very slightly, but enough to sometimes be a factor) over rubber ones.

I’m actually in favor of rubber over polyurethane bushings, thin though they be. I seem to only find the latter

Most are gonna be poly as it’s a fair priced upgrade. I can’t remember the last time I seen a rubber factory replacement.

Check maybe cj pony parts as they specialize in a lot of random oem parts.

Uppers only at CJ. o lower isolators right now.

I have my email in so when they’re all (4) in stock, they’ll let me know.

NPD looks like they have them. You have to do creative searching on their site to find some items.
OEM rear - here.
Example of search for "insulator" - here.

Thank you, Tillerman, for the links. I believe there is a NPD about 10 miles from me. Will contact directly and see. I appreciate you doing the hunting, especially on their website, which can be frustrating!
