New spark plugs were installed when I first fired up the car, it was running without the IAT temp sensor. It was running rich and the spark plugs are dark and wondering if I can just clean them up with brake cleaner or do I need to replace them?

You can get away with just cleaning them but Ive heard not to use brake parts cleaner on them. If anything wipe them off then run some seafoam in your gas and intake to help clean them up.

If you have a large bank account and can wing 15 dollars you might want to consider new plugs.

Are the plugs dark brown or black and sooty? If they are black and fouled, replace them, if they are brown, that's normal.

I've tried cleaning plugs before and it's never been worth it.... Id rather pay for new ones than risk an intermittent misfire
