well shux i just learned something. Wouldn't be a bad idea to have some of that Honda Bond on hand.

Maybe he just wants to hide something in the manifold? geez.

I am not up to date on modulars but I thought with how brittle the intakes seamed to be already that any performance gains
This isn't rocket science. He wants to access the insides to remove casting flash, possible smooth edges and the like.

Contact Brett Barber @ AirFlow Solutions and ask him what adhesive he uses.
I thought most people with the poly intakes were just happy that they had not cracked. I would have thought the minor performance gain to do this would only come to an end even quicker than they already did.

I am glad I changed mine
Mine was cracked
If I could find an aluminum intake for the 5.4
I would change them out

come on guys, plastic/carbon what ever its called is the way things are now. No heat soak, cheap to make. Even the new coyote plastic intake is the shit over the boss intake or the ford racing. Just saying. I know not nearly as high on the Coolness factor.

I didn't see anyone make a comment on the difference between heat transfer between the two but me. I can understand this gain but personally I like the fact I do not have to worry about cracking my 94 cobra's aluminum intake and I had no problem opening the throat of it up another 5mm to actually fit a 75mm throttle body correctly.
