I've decided to carry the Dr. Beasley's paint coating. I've seen some many good reviews on this product and the durability is supposed to be great. Supposed to get 2-3 years of protection, really nice gloss, less marring and scratches on the paint and so on....

You can check it out here http://stores.theragshack.com/dr-beasleys-nano-resin-paint-coating-1-oz/ There is also a You tube video how to apply below the product description as well.

Why can't you detail places come up with some special protectants for satin paints?!?!

I know that the majority of people have gloss finishes but almost all detail products promote gloss. Can they not create a protective coating that won't affect the satin finish??

Actually, this company does carry a matte paint coating. It does not have the durability like the Nano Resin, but will still last for a few months. It runs $50 and I can get it if you are interested.

My car won't be back together anytime soon but when it is back together I may get some from you to try.

I am guessing 1 bottle does one car? Have you used it?

It seems really neat. Interested, my cars have a tendency to go a while in a slightly "neglected" state

I can do a whole car with one bottle and still have some left over.

I've put it on a couple of customer cars. Some coatings are finicky and harder to use, this one is pretty easy.

This is like putting layer of glass over your paint to protect it. It makes the paint more scratch resistant and so much easier to clean. Dirt won't build up as bad and bugs/tar come off with ease. Pretty awesome stuff. When in get a new vehicle the first thing I do is putting a coating on it.

That came out really nice! Once I get a chance I will definitely grab that. Maybe some for all the cars if I like it enough :)

This is a new coating I'm carrying now. A lot better durability and gloss than the one we talked about.

Yes, paint, exterior plastic trim, wheels and headlights. Can also go over vinyl graphics.

Ok, cool.

would you recommend topping it with a wax after applied, or between applications?

You don't really need to put a wax on but you can for extra gloss. I carry Bullet Proof Topper or Dr. Beasley's Formula 1201 that is great for maintenance over coatings.

UPDATE,

I did a 2-stage polish and applied this to my truck about 3 months ago.
It is GOOD STUFF.

it has a consistent shine that wasn't there before.
The truck cleans off much easier. dirt and debris washes off ez sauce.
quick wash and dry, tire shine, done.

I'm ordereing some more for my dad who just got a new F150.

Having used a lot of detailing stuff, I can say from experience that this is better than a typical sealant/wax.

(JUSTIN) applied over my graphics and to HL/TL. great stuff man!
It goes on so easy too. give it a shot if you love your car.
