No, i am not going to drag race but want to get rid of the sliding calibers and looking for my options. With the cost of shipping, customs, taxes... the US price of parts is almost doubled before we have the parts at home here in Sweden.
Summit, Steeda or Rock can deliver overseas, LRM, CJ, AM.. do not.
I don´t really need more brake power, the OEM GT brakes are good enough for my driving but they still drag after new calibers, sliding pins, pads, hoses and proportioning valve.
I see these "drag race" brakes with 4 pot calibers and 11" rotors for reasonable cost but are they suitable for street? I think the 2001 GT rotors are 11".
Anyone have knowledge if this is bad idea?

I actually have those as my rear brakes and the 6P 14" up front. They would be better than the stock or the cobras imo, more than most of us need.

Is the VAT lower if you do not get it all at one time? What if it is listed as used parts rather than a new kit?

Thanks, that is what i needed to know.
Do you know if they come with brackets for the calibers so they are direct bolt on, cannot see on the picture?
Tomorrow time for safety & emission inspection so if they think the left front drags too much i know what to order.
It´s so strange, all new parts both sides, opened it up several times checked everything, lubed sliding pins and still the same. Does not help if i open the bleeder screw so it cannot be hydraulic.
VAT in always 25% except for food, books and some other stuff. And we pay it for price + shipping + customs so it adds up.

ya know I don't know, but I was amazed at the service I got at baer. Give them a call and if I remember correctly I was surprised to have someone pick up the phone that was able to directly answer all my questions. I didn't have to ask for sales, or technical service they guy knew what I needed him to. The kit I got came with everything for the front and rear so I would assume if they are selling it for your model it comes with everything ya need. The only problem I ran into was the front mount didn't have the hole for the abs sensor, but they made it right.

Car went through inspection with clean paper so no hurry now, but the left front brake still gets warmer than the right one so something is not correct.

It could be as simple as a caliper that is sticking. While I love my baers and will tell you to get them if you can, if your want to save a few bucks I would at least take the wheel off and give it a look.

Have had the wheel of several times since rebuild this winter and tried to figure this out.
During winter new rebuilt calibers with brackets and sliding pins, pads, hoses and proportioning valve. Everything moves smoothly when loose, pistons and pins. This is why i just cannot get it. Only thing i can think of is that the pistons do not get pushed straight in the bore so the seal cannot pull them back when pedal is released. Maybe the bores were machined for cleaning when they were rebuilt so they are a bit "oversize" to guide the pistons correctly.

As i see i cannot be on the hydraulic side as the caliber does not release when i open the bleeder valve.
