Don't think the fog light switch that came with it is any good, but haven't felt like pulling the storage bin back out to swap them yet lol.

New front rotors showed up today. Now I've got the everything I need either here or ordered except for the rear rotors and a test wheel for the back. Those can wait until winter since I'm still driving it to work a couple days a week lol.

Lol, waiting on the rear rotors to show up now so I can start messing around with it. Figuring out what I want to do for the parking brake is going to be the most annoying part...

Still alive. FINALLY got time to mess with the brakes. Between work going nuts and having to work on friends/families stuff, the brakes have just sort of set holding down a shelf.
I've been working with this one side and have it pretty close, but with a 5mm spacer behind the rotor. Once I make 100% sure that I've got the rotor center I'm going to get a friend of my dad's who has a Bridgeport to take the 5mm out of this bracket and then duplicate the things over to the other bracket. Basically modifying a GT350 to S550 kit from FTB combined with an old Vintage Venom S550 GT500 to SN95 kit to make things work. Anyway, a few pictures:

Hoooly shit , those are massive . The worst part of being mechanically inclined is being expected to fix everyone in the families junk

Indeed. I'm at the point that they can pay someone to do it. These things set on my shelf for 2.5 years collecting dust, that's dumb.

For some reason, I didn't get a reply notification for this thread... Weird.

Went on vacation for a week, but came back and messed with the car a little more. Got the bracket to within .5mm of the rotor being centered with an angle grinder lol. Have to get up with my dad's friend sometime next week when he's free and take a couple thousandths off to square things up then measure and duplicate to the driver side bracket. After that I can hook up the lines and move onto the rears.

I finally got time to work on the rear GT350 swap and, by some miracle, it allllmost just bolts on. I'm going to need to elongate the holes on the IRS knuckle just a touch to get it to have enough clearance to the outside edge of the rotor, but the bolt spacing appears to be identical. Even the factory caliper bracket bolts are going to work. While I had it out to put the new studs in, I went ahead and put a new wheel bearing in as well. The 19x10.5 RTRs are going to clear by a ton as well.20230611_200242.jpg

This thing is literally going to stop on a dime . My car stops so good with a 13” rear rotor single piston and cobra brakes up front . I wanna know what the 60-0mph and 100-0mph times are with this upgrade .

Hoping for sub hundred feet 60MPH stops with the sticky tires on it. A GT350 stops in 95 feet from 60, but they're also 600 pounds heavier.

Finally "finished" the GT350 brake swap. Still need to bleed it again and mess with the parking brake a little more, but it was good enough to get it off the lift so we could get my friend's Z in the air for rear axles/wheel bearings.
