Driveshaft scrapping sound when I have passengers or when going over bumps

Hey guys I think my driveshaft is scrapping on the e-brake cables and bracket. I hear a loud scrapping noise when the car is heavy or when going over bumps and I saw a bit of scoring on the driveshaft at that location and the e-brake cables have grooves in them. The thing is my car is fully stock and the only other posts I could find were about lowered cars. Do you guys know how to stop the scrapping or why its happening ? I installed new differential bushings today but the old ones weren't shot, just a few cracks, and it didn't change much. I have control arms on the way with polyurethane bushings hopefully that will help. Any insight would help a lot thanks !

I believe the area where the E Brake cables are held up are spot welded from the factory. Over time with use the welds break and the whole assembly begins to sag. This allows the cables to rest against the driveshaft. This is vaguely what I remember about the issue.

What I can tell you for sure is that lowered cars, bushings, and thicker aluminum driveshafts can make the problem more likely or worse.

Don't sleep on it. One of these days, those cables are going to get wrapped around the spinning driveshaft and you'll be in for a rough time. It's quite easy to remove the D/S to get enough clearance and get that bracket welded back to the sheet metal. Or rivet it would probably be better because getting a weld to truly stick involves a lot of scraping/cleaning/etc and both pieces of metal to be welded together are thin AF.

Alright thanks for the answers I'll take a look into the rivets then because idk how to weld, is there anything else you can do to mitigate the rubbing ?

Other than remove the e brake cables, not really.
