I have dyed seats as well. It's amazing how tough that dye is. I tested it by brushing some on an old yogurt container and letting it dry and then tried to scratch it off with my car keys and it would not come off! You can still add some nourishing treatment to the leather so it does not split open. Obscure products such as Leatherique is very good. Never use anything with silicone!

I agree, it will need constant attention to avoid further degradation.They look great. As long as the leather hold up.
