I’ve got an odd request for all you folks. I’m trying to gather info on when the opening in the firewall for the ecu wiring harness changed. I know this is tough to get to if you aren’t already working on your car and have the fender liner off. Anyone that’s doing this, if you could measure the opening for me, I would forever be in your debt.

If you do, can you list the year of the car and the dimensions, please?

This is a fox body opening, it is symmetrical and roughly 1 5/8” wide all the way down.

This is from my 98. It is roughly 1 5/8” at the top and opens to about 2” at the bottom. It’s also taller than the fox.

I’m trying to determine if this was a switch made with the sn95 in 94, or if it was a 96 change or even a 98 change in preparation for the new edge. So any and all the help I could get would be great. Thanks guys!

I’m sure the cobra would be the same as the other 97’s. I’m thinking it’s going to be just like my 98. So yeah, if you could check it out, that would be great.
