Hey I’m planning to get some lowering springs, with an aggressive drop. Wanna stay in budget, so no coil overs. The 2 options I’ve been interested in are the Eibach Sportline and The H & R Super Sports. But the Super Sports are made Specifically for 2003 Mach 1, but said it can be fitted in 96-98 Mustangs. But the drop may vary. So which one has the biggest drop on a 96 Mustang GT Coupe Specifically.

Thanks in advance.

I had H&R SS springs for years with Tokico shocks. It was a damn smooth ride. I was surprised with how nice it was.

Of the 2 listed I ran H&R SS springs in the past. They were pretty smooth, looked good too. As for performance driving. Listen to warhorse.

H&R Sport- I had to go NO ISO's in the front to get the car to sit level. Rear dropped plenty and I have new poly iso's top and bottom. When I first rolled the car out it looked like I had only lowered the rear. 275/40/17 all around on 17x9 reps.

I hate to pull it apart again but I may in order to put the stock upper ISO's back in the front. Def not the poly ones that acted as lift blocks!

Yeah the poly ones don't squish or settle with time. They really are lift blocks lol

I'm not sure where you're getting that the H&R SS springs are meant for a 03 Mach 1 specifically- the suspension is practically the same from 94-04 except for some spindle differences and the control arm bolt size differences between SN95 and New Edges. All 96-04 springs are the same part number.

Sportline and SS are both on the lower side of springs from what I remember, I think SS are a touch lower, but could be wrong there, either way they can be super aggressive with no ISOs.

I'm running H&R SS springs in the rear of my car with no ISOs and it's aggressively low.

You will want new struts and will likely need C/C plates to get the alignment right so make sure you are budgeting for that as well.

I ran H&R SS springs on my 98 for well over 15 years. Hell, I still have the ears on there.

Any idea how these compare to Steeda springs? That’s what I have on my Mystic now but it seems they are only 1 1/4” lower than stock. I’d like to go 2” lower.
Are you running isolators?

I returned a set of steeda springs because I wanted to go lower. The steeda rep told me that their springs are more for performance than ride height. H&R does both, so I went with them… I used my store credit at steeda for other goodies on my GT350. Hope this helps…
