Looks like we're gonna need a 3V subsection :head3:

Good luck with the swap!

Not sure if the computer can be tuned for the variable cams but the cams can be locked out.

yep u got it im lock n the cams out an the ecu an be tuned for it. its a lot of work to use the 07 eng here were im geting my kit from http://www.loganmotorsports.com/2V_to_3V_conversion.html

That's pretty cool, I had no idea that there was a decently easy way to get a 3v to work in our cars. How does locking out the cams affect the power, powerband, etc? If my motor ever went, I'd have to think hard about this vs. a 5.4 2V swap.

3V is a great swap especially since Logan took out the hard part.

You can find 3V's for decent prices and they have a ton of Blowers on the market to pop on top of them.

The 4V is a sexier swap but the 3V makes great power for less money and I have considered it myself plus they have aluminum blocks.

I read this swap in a magazine, don't remember if it was 5.0 or MMFF, it looks really interesting.
Will be watching, may alter my plans.
3v are not too expensive.

I don't remember all the details, but I do recall them using the 3v manifold and using a cobra tb so they could keep the drive by cable aspect.
If I recall, it fit fine, and I believe they kept the hood.
And an easy 300RWHP in naturally aspirated trim. All aluminum, with such light bodies, would be an amazing setup.

Yep termi throttle body...

You can use 3v flange adapters but I'm just buying 3v flanges and having them welded to some 2v long tubes...

I got my 3v heads for 250$ and a teksid for 150 you have to drill 1 hole to use the teksid.... I'm missing a timing cover (maybethe 2v one will bolt up Idk) but first I'm getting the head p&p
