I YouTubed an engine cleaning video/tutorial where the guy used a spray cleaner/degreaser in a purple spray bottle. Anyone recall what that product was? Also used something to refresh the under hood heat panel. Came out amazing. Anyone know what these were? Or used other stuff that cleans and makes the engine compartment shine?

I was able to find my old thread about this topic and it has a reply in it with a link to the YouTube guy, Chris Fixx. I must’ve missed it the first time, but there it is!

“How to Super Clean your engine bay” by Chrisfix… is the YouTube video.
He uses soap/water in a spray bottle + a lot of brushes, microfiber towels, etc. He used a non-flammable spray on tint restorer after a good soak/let dry on the under hood heat barrier. Came out great! Also, he used an OTC plastic restorer for the plastic and rubber under the hood/around the engine compartment.

The purple spray bottle I was thinking of is called “Super Clean”. Supposed to rinse cleaner than Purple Power, is more “environmentally safe”, and is more affordable.

We’ll see…
