What would be a good flat tappet cam choice to run with my EFI and computer. Comp cams recommends the 351w thumpr cam. I just picked up a pair of GT40p heads with .600 lift springs today too. Im not sure what pistons are in that 84 non roller motor im using. Does anybody know? Im just trying to run that shortblock with a nice cam(basically free) and have some fun while Im saving to build my 95 roller im pulling.

Would another option be to use the the spider and dog bones from my 95 and drill and install them in the 84 block? Link bar lifters are a bit pricey right now.

You can do that, but you will need to run a small base circle cam if you use that setup.

Yes you could drill and tap if it has the bosses for spider. Now if you did get the link bars and a hydro cam you could always run it in your rollerblock.

Does anyone know what kind of pistons might come in that 84 lincoln 302? I havent been able to go over and tear it down. Im hoping they would be fine with the GT40Ps and TFS1 or a B cam.
