engine surges

    Have a 96 gt just put on a cai this weekend and I went to start car this morning to let it warm up and it idled for about 5 minutes and then it acted like it was going to die it did this for abouta minute and then went back to a regular idle it was about 25° this morning, well after work today started it and went back inside to get something and it started to stall out again but this time it died started right back up no engine codes running great but what could be going on

    Check the electrical connection to the maf and make sure it's secure. Also check to make sure the air filter and connections are clamped on properly. Sounds like air is getting in somewhere and causing it to run a little rough. Good luck and let us know what you discover

    You could also try to clock your maf..

    Clean maf ....
    Check iac
    Check plugs and fuel filter


    With car idling, spray maf cleaner around the engine (focus on the throttle body plenum and work your way towards the filter) do not spray it on the filter...

    Found a lose clamp checked all other connections we see what happens in the morning thanks for the ideas will keep you post ed
