Does anybody know the pipe diameter of the stock H pipe on a 98 Cobra?
Thanks.

I am running 2 1/2". I would think 3" would lower your exhaust velocity unless you are running 800+rwhp or something. I am looking to make 700+rwhp with the 2 1/2".

2.5" anything more on a NA car will kill the backpressure.

i've seen lots of 3" cat backs on 03-04 Cobras,a nd some GT's and such, but almost all of them have 2.5" h/x pipes i believe.

i drove a 97 snake with a 3in cat back and it sounds like garbage and their was 0 backpressure, might aswell run no catback in my opinon unless ur pushing over 750 or running a big downpipe on a turbo set up a 2.5 in is more then sufficient

2.5" is good, the camaros and TA's have 3 inche setups because they are not true dual setups.

Yeah It would definately be over kill. 3.5 Tips are great to run but having your mid pipe 3 or more would seriously put a damper on your performance being n/a. I got the long tubes with bbk 2.5 o/r h with stock Cobra tail pipes and I love it. Turbo98 is right, unless your running 700 to 800 hp's.

Yea a 4v does not need 3 inch exhaust. Like even my SLP exhaust kills some of my low end punch but it really helps open up up top. I guarantee you if I didnt have gears the SLP wouldve actually hurt my car more than helped.
