Decided to go with Dark Shadow Gray for the color to accent the black motor. Going to paint the alternator and a few other things the same color as well. It's not a show perfect pint job but I like the way it turned out. After the paint cures on the upper intake, I'll grind the paint off the fins and leave the polished fins exposed then clear it some more to seal it in. Just have to make a lift plate for the lower intake and it's ready to go in. Going to get a tune done to it to get the max out of it as possible.

Didn't put any clear on the block or heads. Just high heat engine enamel gloss black. Just the intake and valve covers are painted and glossed. Did put down a high heat engine primer before laying down the paint. Hopefully that will help.

All done painted. I really like how this plate turned out. Just sat a cobra emblem on the plate to see how it looks. Still unsure if I'm going to leave it blank or put some sort of emblem on it.

And as soon as the paint cures for a few days, I'll come back and remove the paint front the fins and leave it polished on the fins.

Cobra emblem looks sharp on there, subtle with the color. The dark grey looks sharp!

Thanks. I went back and forth a lot until I decided on this color. Not boring black but subtle to make it stand out.
