Fill hole size

I’m going to change my trans fluid in my 5 speed to Synchromax and I’ll need a hose to use install the fluid. I want to know what size the hole is to get a hose will fit.

I would guess about a 1/2". I got a hand pump/fluid transfer kit from harbor freight that I use to do it. only takes a minute or two.

What trans do you have? It should be a 3/8npt pipe plug that’s in there. If you get one of the cheapo transfer pumps from harbor freight, it’s got two red hoses on it, one goes in the bottle one goes in the fill hole. Pump till it dribbles out.

Yes sir! Used it on my T56, my rear end and draining the fuel tank on my generator too.

Trans is filled. Used a old piece of rubber fuel line. It took 3 & 3/4 qts to fill. Shifts better but may need new synchros down the line but good for now
