Hi all,

I need new street tires for my '95 Cobra. I'm running the original 17x9 Cobra R wheels, so the 275/40-17 size works well. What I'm looking for is feedback on the three tires I've got this narrowed down to. If you've used any of these, what did you like/dislike?, dry/wet traction (primarily cornering & braking)?, etc. The prices listed are from tirerack.com.

Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 $223 340 A A
Falken Azenis RT660+ $275 200 A A
Nitto NT555 G2 $210 320 AA A

I'm leaning towards the Falkens, but I've never owned a Falken tire. They sure look like they would have great grip, and that's my primary concern.
I consider any and all feedback to be valuable and appreciated.

Thanks!

Back 20 yrs ago, I had Firestone sz-50 zr tires on my 95. They were to me a fantastic wet tire in heavy rains and excellent in dry. Several updates and are now the Indy tires.

Then a couple sets of General g-maz. Also very good tires.

Now having Nitto 555-G2 installed. No miles, so can't comment yet.

No experience with Falken.

The Falken is a track tire. Like wear the fuck out fast track tire.
The other two would just be about what design you like better or brand you like more they are so close as a street tire. I think the G2 is a "newer" design.
